At its meeting on 4 November 2026, the Federal Council set the minimum interest rate for 2027. It has raised the minimum interest rate from 1.25% to 2%.
Back in October, the Federal Council had already decided to increase the old-age pension by 1.59%. This also means that all limits for occupational pension schemes will rise. The maximum monthly old-age pension is now CHF 2,560 (previously 2,520).
